What we collect

We collect only what's needed to run our website and talk with prospective or current clients:

• Contact form data: name, email, company, and whatever you choose to write in the message body.
• Email correspondence: if you email us directly, we keep that thread for our records.
• Basic analytics: aggregated, anonymized usage data (page views, referrers, device type) so we can see what's working. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
• Project materials you share with us under a separate engagement agreement (code, designs, credentials) are covered by that agreement and any NDA we've signed.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and scope potential work.
• To deliver the services you've hired us to build.
• To improve the site and our own processes.
• To send occasional updates if you've explicitly asked to hear from us.

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it to train third-party AI models.

Who we share it with

A small number of vendors help us operate:

• Form delivery and email (e.g., Formspree, Google Workspace).
• Hosting and analytics providers (e.g., Cloudflare).
• Source control, project tracking, and payment processors when relevant to an active engagement.

These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms. We do not share client project materials with anyone outside the engagement team without your permission.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and correspondence are retained for as long as there's a reasonable business interest (typically up to 3 years), then deleted. Active client project data is retained per the terms of your engagement.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Send a request to contact@bytewise.agency and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Cookies

We use the minimum cookies required for the site to function and for basic analytics. No behavioral advertising cookies.

Security

We follow standard industry practices to protect information in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep our attack surface small: fewer vendors, least-privilege access, and encrypted storage for anything sensitive.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy materially, we'll update the effective date above. For significant changes, we'll notify current clients directly.
